“Prior to using Monday.com, we were managing our marketing calendar using spreadsheets and documents. But as our business and marketing activity have grown, using spreadsheets to keep track of activity across email, social, PR, blog, and video content became unsustainable. Monday.com gave us all of the functionality we needed at a low cost on a rolling monthly commitment.

“Monday.com lets you switch between list and calendar views of each activity, tag each activity with multiple categories, and then filter the results based on these tags. This categorization makes it much easier for me to see how much activity we’ve produced for any brand, product, and audience, and to see at a glance any gaps that need filling.

Monday.com’s free plan includes up to two team members and gives you unlimited organizational boards and documents, over 200 customizable templates, and mobile app access. Its paid plans cost a monthly user fee, and each paid plan requires a three-person commitment. For instance, the Basic plan costs $8 per user (with three required users), which means it costs a minimum of $24 a month. Month-to-month pricing is 18% higher than annual pricing, so if you can pay annually, do so—it’ll save you a good chunk of cash in the long run.

2. User-friendly interface

“Like Asana, Monday.com keeps track of tasks, visualizes progress, facilitates collaboration, raises visibility, stores documents, and does everything else a PM [project management] tool should do. Monday.com displays work progress in a single interface, eliminating the need to navigate between big-picture and granular views of project statuses. For instance, you may view projects as Gantt charts, Kanban boards, timelines, and more while navigating its interface.”

4. Amazing reporting and analytics

“In my perspective, effective project management requires accurate and timely reporting—and Monday.com allows you to measure almost anything when it comes to reporting. For example, you can see data for progress, performance, and even the number of almonds consumed by team members in a week.

“Unfortunately, there is no automated reporting available on the platform. However, Monday.com compensates for this with a remarkable capacity to provide a 360-degree view for analyzing multiple project components at a look.
