Inventory management can be complicated and frustrating all on its own—especially when your business is dealing with multiple locations and sales channels. So why complicate it further with a bloated, hard-to-navigate inventory software?

Veeqo makes inventory simple with its easy-to-use software. Plus, it allows multichannel retailers to supervise and update their inventory in one central location. It’s not a perfect inventory solution by any means, but we think it’s a good fit for any business owners who struggle with technology.

Veeqo is best for simple multichannel selling

Veeqo really simplifies multichannel selling. While it may not have all the polish and power of omnichannel retailer solutions like Cin7, Veeqo still integrates with a decent number of ecommerce platforms so you can update pricing and details for your products across all your sales channels from a single location. Plus, it can consolidate sales from your online channels with any and all of your brick-and-mortar retail locations.

The kicker? The platform is also very easy to use. The menus are intuitive and clearly labeled, and the platform isn’t overpopulated with features you don’t need. That makes it easier to find what you’re looking for and take care of the everyday business inventory tasks that need to be accomplished.

Combine that ease of use with Veeqo’s multichannel capabilities, and it makes the platform a simple, easy inventory software—perfect for business owners with complicated needs who don’t want to deal with a steep learning curve.

Veeqo pros

Veeqo’s interface stands out from the crowd in just how easy it is to use. With its intuitive layout and clear labeling, most users find the platform easy for just about anyone to use.1

Veeqo also allows you to manage and update your products across multiple sales channels. That means you don’t have to manually update pricing and other crucial details for each and every product on each individual ecommerce platform you sell on. Veeqo lets you make those changes once, then updates your product info across all your sales channels.

We also like that Veeqo places such a high priority on shipping. The platform has partnered with over 21 couriers to offer shipping discounts to Veeqo customers. You can even compare quotes from each shipping provider to ensure you’re getting the lowest possible shipping rate on each ecommerce order you fulfill.

Veeqo cons

Veeqo talks a big game, but it does fall a hair short in some regards. For example, users report that Veeqo’s customer service is hit-or-miss—due largely to the fact that the company is based in the United Kingdom.2 That makes it hard for US customers to connect with a customer service representative during normal business hours.

Veeqo customers also experience software bugs fairly regularly. Sometimes, for instance, users report that the service doesn’t update recently changed product details across all your sales channels, leaving your customers guessing as to how much your products actually cost.3

The Veeqo system is also lacking many of the features found in other, more comprehensive software options—like manufacturing features for instance. Veeqo can’t even generate a simple bill of materials (BOM). That’s a big problem if you’re a manufacturer or work closely with your vendors to create products.

Need production features?

Our top inventory software pick for manufacturers is Fishbowl Manufacturing. The platform offers advanced bill of material (BOM) features, as well as multi-level work orders and part tracking—perfect for suppliers that need to track multiple complex jobs at once. Veeqo plans and pricing

Veeqo offers four regular plans: Veeqo Lite, Accelerator, High Growth, and Premium. There’s also an enterprise-level plan with custom pricing, which you’ll need to request a quote for.

The features you get from your inventory management software vary depending on the plan you choose, with most features lumped into “Basic,” “Intermediate,” or “Advanced” categories.

We also want to note that pricing for each plan depends on the number of customer orders you plan to fulfill per month. So while the Accelerator plan costs $156.00 per month for 500 orders per month, it can cost as much as $374.00 per month for a plan that includes up to 10,000 orders per month.

With Veeqo, your software includes the features outlined below, but some features are only available at an extra cost. For instance, if you want to use Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), you’ll need to pay an extra $0.00–$496.00 per month (depending on the number of FBA orders you want to fulfill).

Veeqo also charges an extra premium to integrate your software with QuickBooks accounting. For QuickBooks Online, it’ll cost you $75.00, while QuickBooks Desktop integration can set you back up to $900.00. Considering that most other inventory options offer QuickBooks integration for free, we think that’s a pretty bum deal.

Veeqo features

Veeqo’s features fall into four main categories: inventory control, shipping, warehouse management, and “extras” that don’t fit another category. Within these categories, features are grouped into tiers, with the plan you choose determining the tier of features at your disposal. Here’s how that all breaks down.

Inventory control

Basic

With an Accelerator plan or higher, online retailers get quite a few inventory features.

For starters, there’s Veeqo’s emphasis on multichannel sales. Specifically, Veeqo offers integrations across seven different online marketplaces, plus seven more ecommerce channels. That gives online retailers the option to manage multiple sales channels (or even separate ecommerce businesses) from a single platform. Talk about convenient, right?

We also like that Veeqo lets you create an unlimited number of invoice templates. This gives you the flexibility to create invoices from several retail brands without having to manage each brand separately.

In addition, Veeqo’s basic inventory control features include the following offerings:

  • Complete history of inventory levels and movements
  • Kitting
  • Document printing directly from your software (no PDF downloads necessary)
  • Product tags
  • Advanced search filters (filter by warehouse, by sales channel, by SKU, by shipment tracking number, and more)
Intermediate

In addition to Veeqo’s basic inventory management features, users on the High Growth plan or higher get the following functions:

  • Supplier order tracking
  • Supplier customer relationship management
  • Late-stock reminders
  • Multi-currency purchase orders
  • Automatic reorders on low-stock items
  • Demand forecasting
Advanced

Finally, with a Premium plan, Veeqo customers can take advantage of the platform’s warehouse stock transfer feature. You can also assign stock taking tasks to individual team members anytime you need to manually count your inventory.

Find Your Money—and Keep More of It

With plans starting at $15 a month, FreshBooks is well-suited for freelancers, solopreneurs, and small-business owners alike.

  • Track time and expenses
  • Create custom invoices
  • Accept online payments

Shipping

With all Veeqo plans, you get plenty of features to help make your entire shipping process as smooth as possible.

Veeqo customers can take advantage of discounted pricing from 21+ integrated couriers, ensuring you get the best possible shipping rates—no matter where you’re shipping to.

Veeqo also offers advanced order routing, allowing you to prioritize the warehouses that fulfill each order based on each location’s stock levels and geographic location. That way, you can use customer data to match each order to the appropriate warehouse and minimize customer wait time. Or you can use Veeqo to ship orders directly from your store for even more cost savings.

Warehouse management

Basic

With a Veeqo Lite plan or higher, you get pretty basic warehouse management features. Specifically, you get the ability to manage your inventory over multiple warehouses and the ability to print pick lists (lists of items that need to be pulled from storage to fulfill a customer order).

Advanced

If you sign up for a Premium plan, though, you get a few more warehouse management options. The biggest feature to note is the ability to use barcode scanners with your system.

We don’t love that you have to get a Premium plan to use barcode scanners (other platforms offer barcode scanning compatibility with even their free plans). But if your business is big enough to need barcode scanning to log new stock or confirm outgoing shipments, a Premium plan may be worth the cost.

Advanced warehouse management also includes productivity reports for picking and packing, allowing you to evaluate each warehouse employee’s efficiency. This advanced reporting feature gives you greater insight into your business so you can continue to find new opportunities to innovate.

"Extras"

Veeqo offers a slew of other features that don’t fit neatly into the inventory, shipping, and warehouse management categories. Here’s how these “extras” shake out by plan.

Basic

With an Accelerator plan or higher, you get two major features: reporting functionality and the Veeqo mobile app.

With Veeqo’s dashboard, you can easily evaluate sales numbers and profit for multiple channels and locations simultaneously. This helps you understand where your business is struggling and where it’s doing well, giving you the tools you need to make educated decisions about your company’s next move.

And with Veeqo’s high-rated iOS and Android apps, you can pull these reports up on the go. What’s more, you can view and create new orders within the app and even update stock levels—all from your mobile device.

Intermediate

On a High Growth plan or higher, Veeqo users can also set user permissions to ensure no unauthorized employees can access or change your inventory system. You can also process orders that have been returned, returning undamaged items to your inventory and issuing refunds to qualified customers.

Finally, on Veeqo’s Premium plan, you also get the platform’s order management feature. This option allows you to do more than fulfill individual customer orders, as you can also manage your wholesale orders. You get more flexibility to sell your items in bulk, which means more up-front capital for your business.

Veeqo integrations

Veeqo offers direct integrations with a host of business services, including most prominent ecommerce retailers. Here’s the complete list of integrations currently available:

  • Accounting: QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Xero
  • Ecommerce: Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, OpenCart
  • Helpdesk: Gorgias, xSellco, Freshdesk
  • Marketing: Hubspot, Asana, dotdigital, Pardot, Campaign Monitor, Active Campaign, Buffer, Klaviyo
  • Online marketplaces: Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Rakuten, PriceMinister, Cdiscount, Etsy, Not on the High Street, Jet.com
  • Point of sale (POS): Vend, Shopify
  • Shipping: USPS, FedEx, DHL, Seller Fulfilled Prime, UPS, Royal Mail, DPD, DPD Local, Yodel, Parcelforce, DX, Australia Post, APC, UK Mail, Hermes, myHermes, Asendia, DHL Packet, Deutsche Post
  • Third-party logistics (3PL): Amazon FBA, Torque
  • Other: Quote on Site, Zapier

In addition, Veeqo customers can use Veeqo’s application programming interface (API) to build their own custom integrations.

Customer service

One thing we like about Veeqo? You don’t have to upgrade your plan to get better customer service. Instead, all Veeqo plans include live phone, chat, and email support.

Of course, if you want more than that, you can upgrade to an enterprise-level plan. It may cost you a pretty penny, but this option gets you a dedicated customer success manager, as well as fully managed implementation of your new Veeqo system. Or you can add on-site training at your place of business for an additional fee.

A word to the wise, though: don’t expect too much from Veeqo customer support. Many users report that because the company is based in Wales, its customer service representatives aren’t usually in the office during normal US business hours.2 That makes it difficult to get your issues resolved in a timely manner.

The takeaway

Veeqo isn’t the best inventory management software we’ve reviewed, but it certainly isn’t the worst either.

Veeqo excels in user-friendliness, thanks to its intuitive interface and its ability to help you manage orders from all your sales channels in one place. But the fact that the platform doesn’t offer manufacturing features or 24/7 customer service may be a deal breaker for some.
