Based on our research, Chase Bank offers the best credit card for most businesses with its Ink Business Cash card.
There’s a lot to love about Ink Business Cash, but let’s start with its rewards program. Ink Business Cash earns (you guessed it) cash back, with rates up to a whopping 5%. (For reference, the average maximum cash back rate for cards on this list is 2.25%.)
That 5% rate does come with some conditions: It applies to just the first $25,000 your business spends on internet, phone, cable, or at office supply companies each year. But you still get cash back on other purchases―2% on gas station and restaurant purchases (for the first $25,000), and then 1% on everything else. And you can earn $750 in bonus cash by spending $7,500 in your first three months with Ink Business Cash.
It’s not all about the rewards, though. Ink Business Cash also shines thanks to its low fees (it has no annual fee or employee card fees, for example) and competitive interest rates (including a 12 month 0% promotional APR). Put simply, it’s an all around great card for business.
That doesn’t make Ink Business Cash right for every business owner though. If you prefer points or travel rewards, for example, you’ll be disappointed. And depending on how you spend, other cash back cards could end up earning more for your business (if, say, you don’t ever shop at office supply stores).
Even so, for most businesses, Chase Ink Business Cash has the right rewards, fees, and rates―earning it the top spot on our business credit card rankings.
